Wing Rack
Once glued & taped I put the joined wings onto my wing rack made from cheapo shelf brackets with pipe foam insulation pushed on to cover the length sticking out of the wall. I set the distance between the brackets at the "Airy Points" of my wings, which are all around 5 - 6ft span. This minimises any load on the wing during curing and general storage.

For those of you who bunked off that particular Physics lesson at school, Airy points are defined as the best points for supporting a bar horizontally so that deflection of that bar will be kept to a minimum.

If the bar is of length L and there are n supports, the supports should be separated by distance:

So for a 72" span wing with 2 supports they would be:

= 41.5 " apart

Lets assume that there are always 2 supports for a wing, the maths is simple. Just divide the wingspan by 1.73 to get the support spacings.
