Geoff Leigh's Bobcat - modified to take a Wren 44 gold autostart turbine. Geoff made a few mods to allow the Bobcat to accept the turbine.

Engine mount mod - turned blocks on end and carved shape, reinforced inside with triangular wood to increase glued area.
Ailerons - cut in half and inserted balsa block in ends, to give ailerons and flaps.
Cut film under wing and added mounts for mini servos for ailerons, recovered.
Cut underside of elevator and added mini servo mount.
Made wing bolt on by drilling and tapping aluminium tube with dowel insert, and adding bolts at leading edge.
Mounting U/C with main wheels at front to bring wheels closer to CG.
IIn Geoff's own words " I have now had 6 flights and am just getting used to it. It has a take off like a Saturn 5, but with throttle it flies very well. Weight came out at 8lbs 6ozs. Flaps are essential otherwise it cannot be slowed, and if put on the deck it just keeps taking off again, with the motor on idle."
